Clean the round metal surface thoroughly with brake cleaner or another suitable cleaning solvent. You can clean excess sticky residue with 3M Adhesive Remover , Part # 49048 also.
When fitting the 36 grit abrasive pad on the doffer grinding machine a very clean surface is needed .

All 3 sizes of doffer grinding pads have PSA material on the back . This " Pressure Sensitive Adhesive " can be made extra sticky by using 3M Spray 74 Adhesive or 3M Super Trim Adhesive to help stick them down better .
